Rena Sofer
Rena Sherel (born on December 2, 1968), is an American actress. Her performances include daytime television and guest performances on episodic basis and movies made for TV. Sofer received the Daytime Emmy Award 1995 for her role in the role of Lois Cerullo of the soap show General Hospital. She was Quinn Fuller's role in the CBS soap show The Bold and the Beautiful between 2013 and 2022.
Childhood and early life
Sofer was born in Arcadia, California, the daughter of Susan Sofer (nee Franzblau) who was a psychologist, as well as Martin Sofer, an Orthodox rabbi.
She moved with her brother David as well as her father to Teaneck (New Jersey) in the year 1970. They resided in Western Pennsylvania when Sofer was five years old. They were brought up in Ambridge, Pennsylvania by their father, Beth Samuels Jewish Center. She was a student at the Frisch School, a coeducational Modern Orthodox Jewish highschool in Paramus (New Jersey). Sofer was raised in North Bergen where her father was the rabbi at synagogue Temple Beth El. She graduated from North Bergen High School, later attending classes at Montclair State College.
Career
Television during the daytime
Lois Marie Cerullo was the first Lois Marie Cerullo that Sofer played on General Hospital. Her first appearance was in 1993 as the manager of the band. But her first acclaim role was Rocky McKenzie on the daytime soap series Loving (1988-91).
